2014 - DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL CMMI FRAMEWORK

GrandCentral was selected by National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), to assist the creation of world class organizations that adopt processes and aligns to global standards, providing the Framework and Implementation Programme for Assisting 2 Nigerian Companies achieve the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Certification.

There are significant challenges confronting the industry. Some of them include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Adopt Global Best Practices

  • A number of international standards such as Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT), ISO17799, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Capability Maturity Model (CMM), Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), are now available to IT organizations to help them improve their accountability, governance, and management. These standards are not necessarily mutually exclusive and increasing the value of IT from a business perspective requires an understanding of their strengths, weaknesses and focus.

2012 – TINAPA KNOWLEDGE CITY

Concept development Tinapa Knowledge City (TKC) for Cross River State Government (CRSG), and implementing project manager of the IT Park, the first phase of TKC. TKC’s concept is founded on a vision to build a world-class incubator and provide operational facilities, infrastructure, and services for the propagation and growth of software development capacity through companies in Nigeria, as well as the development of a viable industrial cluster that will attract mature technology businesses from Nigeria and abroad.  It will also promote maturing businesses by offering globally competitive support services they require to attain long-term stability and profitability. It is designed to evolve into the West and Central African digital knowledge hub. It follows similar concepts that have been implemented and are operational in various parts of the developed and developing world. The software Incubation Centre (a component of TKC) was recently inaugurated by the Cross River State Governor.

2010 – OFFICE OF THE ACCOUNTANT-GENERAL OF THE FEDERATION


Project Management Consultancy covering the delivery of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS)  Project with mandate to realise the vision to procure and implement an integrated solution, provided with best practice processes that will improve effectiveness and efficiency in transactional service, enhance confidence in payroll costs and budgeting, and greatly improve management reporting  service-wide.

2009 – OFFICE OF THE SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT ON MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS (OSSAP-MDGS), ABUJA


GrandCentral has been selected as the solution provider to the Office of the Senior Special Assistant To The President on Millennium Development Goals (OSSAP-MDGs) for the design and deployment of Microsoft Enterprise Project Management platform, Microsoft Office SharePoint Intranet Portal and Microsoft Exchange messaging solutions and integration with ArcView GIS 9.3 GIS mapping software.

We note that the Federal Government of Nigeria, as part of the overall reform process, intends to institutionalize accountability and transparency. This pioneering solution is therefore intended to assist OSSAP-MDGs achieve its stated objectives for Project Management and Monitoring/Evaluation viz.

  • Project accounting and financial reporting

  • planning and tracking of projects with greater clarity and precision

  • visibly improved status monitoring

  • reporting of active transactional activities

  • reduction of project initiation and cycle times

The above are aligned with the goals of the Honourable Minister and will enable a smooth, seamless and well-coordinated integration with the MDGs and other development partners. The EPM solution effectively positions the Ministry of Health with regard to the Federal Government’s design for a larger institutional strengthening exercise to design and develop a unified effective national Monitoring & Evaluation system – the bedrock of accountability and transparency.
